Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas is a little battered and bruised after a car crash in Los Angeles Wednesday. The singer tweeted Wednesday evening that he and friend, British pop star Cheryl Cole, were doing fine after the accident but pictures suggest their injuries may have been cause for concern. According to “San Francisco’s Chronicle’s “Daily Dish,” photographs that surfaced online show the pair bloodied and looking stunned after the crash. Will.i.am was reportedly taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment and left the hospital in a neck brace. Cole, who is working on new songs with the Black Eyed Peas singer-rapper, was reportedly treated at the scene.
The “Daily Dish” says will.i.am was driving along an L.A. street early Wednesday when his car smashed into the side of a parked car. The airbag in his vehicle reportedly deployed in the accident. Will later tweeted, “Car accidents are not dope…I’m glad I’m o.k. #wiplash.” Cole also tweeted, “Don’t worry me and @iamwill are fine, promise, x.” Will.i.am made headlines earlier this week when his song “Reach for the Stars” became the first song ever to be sent from Mars. The track was beamed to Earth from the Mars Curiosity Rover on Tuesday afternoon.
