NASA has announced that Will.I.Am will be debuting his song “Reach for the Stars” from the speakers of the Mars Curiosity Rover, which landed on the red planet earlier this month. As the song plays in outer space, Will.I.Am will be at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California holding an event to promote science education. The Black-Eyed-Peas singer first teamed up with NASA last year, and has been active in re-energizing young people’s passion for science and technology.
On Election Day in 2008, the singer appeared on CNN as a hologram. “Reach For The Stars” will debut on the Curiosity Rover’s speakers on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Eastern time. A preview of the song is available on last.fm.
