Lady Gaga, Josh Groban and the stars of “Glee” are among the many celebrities offering President Obama a virtual pat on the back after his public endorsement of same-sex marriage.  Gaga congratulated him for being the first sitting president to support marriage equality, adding that it “feels like the future, and not the past.”  Josh Groban sent out a similar tweet calling the announcement “historic.”  Chris Colfer said he was “overwhelmed,” while his “Glee” castmate Diana Agron said she was proud of the president for “speaking up.”  Likewise, Jane Lynch tweeted that she was grateful President Obama was “supporting the dignity of [her] family and so many others.”

President Obama made the announcement on Wednesday during an interview with ABC News’ Robin Roberts.
