Justin Bieber is doing his part to help out this holiday season with both his voice and his wallet. According to the “Las Vegas Sun,” the pop star put on a private show for the students at Whitney Elementary School this past Friday, and also donated 100-thousand dollars. Earlier this year, Bieber made a promise on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he’d visit the Nevada school, which has become nationally recognized for providing needy students and their families with food, clothing, health services and more. In addition to the concert — which featured music from Bieber’s new Christmas album, “Under the Mistletoe” — the singer also went around to a number of classrooms to pop in and sign a few autographs.
Whitney principal Sherrie Gahn called Bieber’s visit “the best Christmas present,” adding that he gave the students “memories no one could ever take away.” Some of those memories included Justin talking about his own family’s struggles as the son of a single mother in low-income housing.
