She may be relatively new to the music scene – but Nicki Minaj is already after music mogul Jay-Z’s crown.
Bursting out of her top for a colourful photo spread for Allure magazine, the Superbass singer revealed she has already personally challenged the 42-year-old father of Beyonce’s daughter Blue Ivy.
Last year she warned the star – who had a net worth of $450 million in 2010 – how she wants to outdo his achievements.
She admitted in the April issue of the publication: ‘I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
‘He said, “Congratulations on all your success.” And I was like, “Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.”‘
She continued: ‘I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of.
‘So that’s why I’m only about to put out my second album and I’m already thinking about this.’
Displaying her chest in an outfit consisting only of a white multi-strap bra and overflowing pink skirt, she’s certainly not afraid to expose herself.
The 29-year-old teams the strange ensemble with a candyfloss–coloured wig complete with bow and veil dressing.
This time Minaj resembles a rag doll as she rests her chin on her fist in a sulky stance, a position many of her fans can still remember being in considering their age.
It’s evident her twisted sense of style which shocked the music scene when she made her debut, lives on through to her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, released April 3.
The hair piece alone is one of five hairstylist Terrence Davidson made for her day of dress up and the item took him two days to create.
In another image the star wears another cleavage-bearing ensemble, a yellow rosette embellished top to go with a Barbie-esque skirt.
In regards to having fans as young as eight years old she explains: ‘I think as far as the younger demo is concerned, I play dress-up.
‘I also can put on a very cartoonish voice. So sometimes children may not know what I’m saying, but they like the sound of it, and they think I sound like some weird character.’
Often spouting profanities in her lyrics, Nicki understands how big her influence is and plans on making an even bigger fortune from it long after her new LP hits shelves.
