Ratings for “American Idol” continue to slide.  Preliminary numbers show Thursday night’s episode of “Idol” was the show’s lowest rated episode since the series’ first season on Fox.  In stark contrast, “Idol’s” new rival in the reality TV talent genre is boosting NBC’s profile on Monday nights.  Just this week, TheWrap.com declared “The Voice” the top-rated show so far this season.  The series has helped NBC to three straight wins in the Monday night ratings race.  Fifteen-point-four-million viewers tuned in to last night’s episode “Idol” on Fox.  That’s a 14 percent drop in viewership from last week’s Thursday episode.  CBS’ “Big Bang Theory” emerged as the most-watched show of the evening, beating “Idol” with 16-point-one-million viewers.
