Buzz has reportedly gotten back to Bobby Brown that he won’t exactly be welcomed with open arms at Whitney Houston’s funeral. Sources tell TMZ.com people close to Houston’s family have reached out to her ex-husband to let him know that he shouldn’t try to attend Whitney’s funeral this weekend because the family doesn’t want him there. According to TMZ, Brown has not received any official word about his invitation to the private service. Bobby reportedly wants to attend the funeral so he can support his and Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, who he apparently has not seen since Whitney’s death last Saturday.
Sources say Brown believes Whitney’s family is keeping him from seeing his daughter. He reportedly flew to Los Angeles to see Bobbi Kristina after she was hospitalized twice over the weekend and was turned away by Whitney’s family and friends. Brown and Houston ended their tumultuous 15 year marriage in 2007. Whitney died last Saturday in her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The singer will be laid to rest after a private, invite-only funeral this Saturday in her hometown of Newark, New Jersey.
