Beyonce may be over the moon regarding her brand new baby, but other parents of newborns are singing the blues over security at the hospital where the pop diva gave birth. Several fuming parents tell the “New York Post” they’ve been placed on “lockdown” at Lenox Hill Hospital on the Upper East Side whenever someone comes to visit Beyonce’s baby girl Blue Ivy. Parents are furious they are being treated like second-class citizens by the hospital when they want to see their children, some of whom are still in the neonatal ICU. They say Beyonce and Jay-Z’s special treatment is causing huge problems for them.
A security team has installed a bulletproof door and new windows on Beyonce’s recovery room, and parents say they are frequently told to stay in their rooms if the singer or her entourage are on the move in the hospital. Beyonce’s reps have not commented on the complaints.
