Watch out, 30 Rock! The team at Saturday Night Live are getting a bit of competition on the sketch comedy front. On Friday, Deadline dished that FOX has ordered a rebooted edition of In Living Color, the Sunday night comedy variety show that hit the airwaves in 1990 and featured the early work of Jim Carrey, Rosie Perez, Jennifer Lopez, and future Oscar winner Jamie Foxx.
Did we forget to mention that the show routinely terrorized clown phobics galore with the introduction of the incomparable “Homey the Clown?!”
The network has teamed up with original series creator Keenan Ivory Wayans to develop two, all-new half-hour specials of the sketch comedy, which will air in the Spring 2012.
In Living Color left the air in 1994.
