T.I. is looking forward to a fresh start following his release from prison.  In a new letter posted on his website, TrapMuzik.com, the rap star states he’ll be going “back to square one,” and will approach music as if he’s “never sold a record.”  T.I. says he’s thankful for everyone who has supported him during this difficult period, noting he wouldn’t have been able to remain strong without their encouragement.  Tip goes on to say that this won’t be his “last battle with adversity,” but adds that his experiences have left him prepared for “whatever else may come in the future.”  Before signing off, T.I. writes that the next time fans hear from him he’ll be a free man once again.

T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested in Los Angeles last September on drug charges.  T.I. was found to have violated the terms of his probation stemming from a previous arrest on weapons charges.  He began serving an eleven-month sentence last November, and is expected to be released on September 29th.
