Chris Brown’s legal team might want to stay close to their phones.  A rep for the pop superstar tells E! News that Chris’ management is considering taking “appropriate legal action” against “Star” magazine.  The publication has a story in their July 25th issue that claims the singer was using homophobic remarks during a pickup basketball game.  Brown’s rep calls the article “totally fictitious,” adding that Chris was actually on a video set the day of the alleged basketball game.  The rep goes on to say the photo of Chris used by “Star” was taken back in March.

This isn’t the first time Chris has been accused of using homophobic remarks.  He issued an apology just last month after calling a group of photographers in Los Angeles “gay.”  Fans will get to see Chris perform tomorrow morning when he takes the stage as part of NBC’s “Today” show Toyota Concert Series.
