A source close to Sean Kingston has revealed that he is now awake and alert in his hospital bed –just one week after he was seriously injured in a jet ski crash in Miami. According to TMZ.com, the singer still has a breathing tube in his mouth, so he can’t talk, but is getting better every day. Sources say that Sean’s friends and family have been by his side at the hospital since the accident and he is communicating with them through nods and sign language. This is a big improvement, because after the accident, he was treated in the trauma ward and then transferred to the ICU. Sean is still in critical condition and is expected to be released in a couple of weeks. FLORIDA AUTHORITIES TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST SEAN KINGSTONReports say that Sean Kingston may face legal repercussion for his jet ski accident in Miami last week. According to TMZ.com, law enforcement sources said that the area where Sean crashed is a manatee zone and according to Florida state law, boats and watercrafts are prohibited from producing a wake in manatee-populated areas. Based on the jet ski damage, Sean probably produced a wake before his accident, but law enforcement is still investigating to figure out exactly what happened to prior to the cash.If he is found in violation of the manatee law, he faces a maximum fine of $32,500.
