Goodbye New Jersey, and hello Miami. MTV is moving ‘Jersey Shore’ to South Beach for its second season, according to Movieline.
Snooki, The Situation and the rest of the gang will head to Florida for round two of their gym, tanning and laundry sessions, at the bargain price of $10,000 each an episode.
Before producers settled on Miami, speculation of where the cast would end up included summer hot spot the Hamptons, on Long Island, among other destinations.
New Jersey State Senator Joseph Vitale is glad the show and cast is gone from his state. “It’s good news for us, but bad news for wherever they end up going,” he told PopEater on Monday.
“If they are indeed moving to Miami, I feel badly for Miami. I don’t care how they live their lives and what they do, but when they insult people and Italian-Americans, it is pretty reprehensible. In New Jersey, we are proud of the products we export, but this is not one we are proud of,” he added.
