Who needs online dating when you have Twitter?
Holly Madison’s latest relationship with her boyfriend Jack Barakat was fueled by the 140 characters-or-less social site.
“We met through a mutual friend and then somehow somebody retweeted something funny he said on Twitter,” she told me while promoting the second season of Holly’s World. “So I started following him, and then we started Tweeting each other back and forth!”
How did things progress from the digital world to reality?
“So then we started direct messaging each other and then exchanged numbers,” she explained to me. “We were texting for months, and finally when I had my vacation, I was like, ‘Do you wanna come out hang out with me?’ and he did and we hit it off right away.”
And he’s already got the seal of approval from one of her BFFs!
“When I was there in early December to celebrate her birthday, he came and I was giving her a bad time saying ‘I’m gonna see if he’s a douche, I don’t know if he’s good enough for you. I’m gonna grill him!’,” Holly’s former Mansion roomie Bridget Marquardt told me of meeting Jack for the first time, “But he’s a really nice guy. He’s really really sweet and they were so cute, all snuggly and kissy and lots of PDA.”
