Katy Perry has landed a guest spot on the hit CBS sitcom “How I Met Your Mother,” marking her first prime-time television role. Perry will reportedly appear as a “beautiful and naïve” cousin of Jennifer Morrison’s character Zoey and will be nicknamed “Honey” by the characters on the show.
Series co-creater Carter Bays says of Perry: “Katy is a tremendous talent, and we are delighted to be able to work with her.”
The release date of the episode, which will be titled “Oh Honey,” has not yet been confirmed.
The “California Gurls” singer is the latest pop star to appear on the show, with other celebs such as Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger, and Carrie Underwood having previously appeared in guest roles.
