Rihanna has claimed that her new album could cure alcoholics. The singer, who is gearing up for the release of her fifth studio LP Loud, said that she wanted to make a dance album that put an end to “bad music” in clubs. Discussing a song on the LP called ‘Cheers’, she said: “This is for all the semi-alcoholics and people who like to drink at the weekend. “When you go to a club and have to listen to bad music you revert to the liquor because you want to have a good time. “I hate having to skip a track, especially if I’m in the shower. I wanted to make an album you can just play.” The ‘Rude Boy’ star also revealed that she recorded the album while on her recent ‘Last Girl On Earth’ tour, which forced her to consider the live aspect of the record. “Every time I listen to new songs I’m making up videos in my head or thinking about how I would perform it live – that’s why I don’t sleep,” she said. Loud will be released in the UK on November 15.
