A judge called Snooki a “Lindsay Lohan wannabe” on Wednesday while punishing her for the drunken conduct that led to her July 30 arrest on the beach in Seaside Heights, NJ.
The “Jersey Shore” star, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, was fined $500 by Judge Damian Murray and ordered to perform 2 days of community service after pleading guilty to disturbing the quiet enjoyment of the beach.
A disorderly conduct charge against the diminutive MTV personality was dismissed.
“This is not like me,” Polizzi told the judge after her lawyer described her sloppy, drunken behavior as an “anomaly.”
“I’d like to apologize to everyone I hurt,” the MTV star told the court, explaining that she was “very embarrassed.”
When asked whether the beach incident had been scripted for cameras, Polizzi denied it.
The judge suggested that she decide whether “it was worth trading your dignity for a paycheck.” He also speculated that Polizzi’s adventures could simply be the “rude and self-indulgent” behavior of a new celebrity.
“You seem to be acting like a Lindsay Lohan wannabe,” snapped the judge to a quiet Polizzi.
Polizzi will receive credit for one day of community service she’s already performed.
