Davis Guggenheim has reportedly dropped out as director of next year’s Justin Bieber 3D movie spectacular.

The man behind the Oscar-winning An Inconvenient Truth supposedly withdrew to fulfill promotional commitments for his new documentary, Waiting For Superman.

No word yet on who will take over directing duties for the century’s most important biopic.

That was fast.

Hours after it was announced that his illustrated life story will be hitting bookstores, Justin Bieber is reportedly set to star as himself in a 3D movie scheduled to premiere on February 11, 2011.

It will include clips from Bieber’s current tour, but will not be a performance-only concert film. The movie will be a feature-length look at Bieber’s life.

The Canadian teen has chimed in, announcing via Twitter, “Next Valentine’s we r coming with a major 3D Movie telling the story with an Oscar winning director and also filmin the tour at MSG in NYC!!”

The film’s reported release date coincides with Valentine’s Day weekend.

“This is so sick!!” Bieber declares.
