The famed children’s book written by Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit, is being adapted into a movie by Sony’s Columbia Pictures. The movie will be a live-action and CG animation hybrid.
The film has already begun casting.The host of the Late Late Show With James Corden, Corden will play the famed rabbit. The cast also includes so far, Rose Byrne will play a live action Bea. Of new found fame thanks to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Daisy Ridley will voice a currently unspecified character.
The book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit was first published in 1902. This year also marks the 150th anniversary of Potter’s birth.
According to Entertainment Weekly, production is set to begin in January 2017, with Peter Rabbit hitting theaters in April 2018.
