NBC’s new show The Good Place is giving you an uncharacteristic view of heaven.
The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop, played by Kristen Bell, who is accidentally killed and sent to heaven – when she actually doesn’t deserve to be there. Now she has to adjust to a world with no cursing, no hangovers, and Ted Danson as God.
The show also stars William Harper Jackson, who plays Bell’s soulmate. He told us about his own version of heaven he created when he was a kid.
“Well, when I was a kid, they made us write these essays about what heaven would be like. I went to this Christian school in Texas. And the thing that I wrote was no bees. No bees, no mud. No infirmities. And streets of gold. And then also a lot of apples,” he said.
Well, now he’s getting paid to be a part of The Good Place, which premieres tonight at 10pm on NBC.
