Yup, Tim, a former NFL QB, is now interested in trying to join the MLB as an outfielder. All 30 major league teams will be invited to the 28-year-old’s workout later this month.
According to ESPN, Tim’s been training in Arizona and Los Angeles for the upcoming season. For those not familiar, baseball isn’t completely new to the former quarterback. While in college he was an all-state player in Florida and the Angels almost drafted him after he graduated.
“Obviously we support Tim in his pursuit of a baseball career, as we have in all his ventures. Tim’s athletic ability, his work ethic, his leadership and his competitiveness were evident in football and will show in baseball. Knowing Tim’s passion and desire, we won’t be surprised by anything he accomplishes,” said his agent, Jimmy Sexton.
Tim, who turns 29 on Sunday, has informed his current employer, ESPN, of this sudden career shift.
