TENNIS-FRA-OPEN-PEOPLE

Since the untimely death of the late great Prince, rumors have been circulating about what actually caused the star’s sudden death.

Everything from ill-health to drug abuse has been named as the cause, and recent reports suggest the man who found Prince’s lifeless body may have played a part in the situation. According to a top Minnesota criminal defense attorney, Andrew Kornfeld, the son of the California addiction specialist who was hired to treat Prince, could face legal charges for possessing a prescription drug used to help kick opiate addiction.

Kornfeld was sent to Minnesota by his father, Dr. Howard Kornfeld, to speak with Prince about addiction to prescription painkillers and was the person who made the 911 call when he found Prince dead in the elevator at his Paisley Park estate. Reports say that Kornfeld was carrying a starter dose of Suboxone, a drug with buprenorphine, which is used to treat opiate addiction and is considered a controlled substance in Minnesota – similar to narcotics like Percocet.

Lawyer William Mauzy said Kornfeld should be granted “statutory immunity” for possessing the Suboxone without a prescription under Minnesota’s Good Samaritan law. We’ll keep you posted on the latest.
