In the two-minute video, MJ stunted on the Jumbotron and mentioned how much he loves watching Kobe play and that he’s proud of the Laker star’s accomplishments throughout his illustrious career.
The Charlotte Hornets owner did play with Kobe towards the end of his NBA domination and the two are always mentioned in talks of the best basketball players of all time.
“I just wanted to say congratulations,” Jordan said. “Your next step and your next career is going to be something that I’m pretty sure you’re going to have to figure out from a competitive stand point. I’m pretty sure you’re just like me. You’re going to have to find other ways to utilize that competitive drive.”
The Charlotte Hornets also drafted Kobe Bryant more than 19 years ago, but traded him for Vlade Divac – now, more than ever, they must be kicking themselves.
