No one is sure how the Spurs will perform on the court this year. But they all have a chance at acting with their hilarious performances in a round of H-E-B commercials, a Texas-based grocery chain. One starts with the team giving the newly-minted Spur LaMarcus Aldridge a few gifts. He’s appreciative until the Spurs’ Coyote Mascot gifts him a bag of dog food. LaMarcus hilariously replies “I don’t have a dog!” Another commercial features Tony Parker teaching a cooking class, but no one wants to cooperate. Kareem Abdul Jabar

Ever since the iconic Sports Illustrated cover that depicted a kid being robbed for their Jordans, MJ’s ethics have been questioned each time someone has been hurt or killed for their sneakers. NBA great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has stepped in to offer his opinion, saying, “You can’t be afraid of losing shoe sales if you’re worried about your civil and human rights. He took commerce over conscience. It’s unfortunate for him, but he’s gotta live with it,” he said in an interview with NPR. Stephon Marbury had similar sentiments in a tweet he sent out last month that read, “Home boy your paying 200 for Jordan’s and they make them for 5 dollars. The shoes are made in China in the same places. Stay calm we coming!” The prices of Air Jordans are not going down anytime soon, especially with the announcement of the “Remastered Collection,” which bumped every pair up $20. Read more.

Despite winning the Championship last season, it’s safe to say Steph Curry may be have this season on lock, too. We’re only four games in and he’s already scored 148 points in 127 minutes. To put things into perspective, Tom Haberstroh of NBA Insider said that Steph can miss his next 88 3-pointers and still have a higher field goal percentage than James Harden.
