UPDATE 9:06AM 8/11/15:
Meghan Trainer posted an announcement on Instagram that she was CANCELLED her show at the Indiana State Fair tonight as well as the rest of her tour!
Her post said:
“To all my fans- I was being careful and taking precautions, but I have hemorrhaged my vocal chord again. I got bronchitis & have been coughing a lot & that pushed it over the edge. Sadly, I will need to cancel the remainder of my tour and get surgery to finally fix this once and for all. I am devastated, scared, and so sorry. I LOVE touring and seeing your beautiful faces every night. I am determined to do what it takes to get better and come back around stronger than ever. I love you and thank you for your understanding, love and support.”
7:12AM 8/11/15: The sold-out Meghan Trainor concert planned for Tuesday night at the Indiana State Fair has been postponed.
Fans who bought tickets to the concert received an email from Ticketmaster informing them of the change. A new date will be announced in the future, the company said. The concert had been set for 7 p.m. at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Ticketmaster said tickets purchased for the event will be honored once a new date is determined.
In July, Trainor suffered a vocal cord hemorrhage and had to cancel some tour dates, but it’s unclear if the Indianapolis cancellation was connected.
As of early Tuesday morning, the Ticketmaster website showed no other postponements for Trainor’s “MTrain Tour.”
We’ll keep you posted as soon as a new date is announced!
