At the start of every NFL season, the front office always tries to crack down on the use of PED or any other illegal substances NFL players may use during the off-season. This season saw high number of cases of players getting suspensions from illegal use of PEDS, marijuana and other players getting suspensions due to off field domestic problems. The NFL has already suspended more than 30 players before the first few games of the season have kicked off. High profile players like Denver Broncos Pro Bowler Wes Welker and Cleveland Browns All-Pro Josh Gordon have seen multiple game suspensions which could affect the outcome of their respect teams especially the Denver Broncos who are in the hunt of returning to the Super Bowl. Losing a player like Welker could affect the seedings in the playoffs or maybe even missing out on the playoffs. And will missing two games in the 2013 season due to violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy the first time, Gordon still led the NFL with more than 1,600 receiving yards and also becoming the first NFL player to have back to back games of 200-yards receiving games.
