robertsThe man who had been stalking Robin Roberts (pictured), the chatfest co-anchor of ABC’s “Good Morning America (GMA)” was deemed unfit to stand trial by a Manhattan judge and was reportedly not present in the court room when the decision was reached, according to the New York Post.

Troy Warren, 43, who is presently in custody and facing harassment charges for allegedly stalking Roberts is accused of visiting the GMA’s Times Square studios last June a total of eight times. The man reportedly insisted upon meeting with Roberts but was escorted off the premises by the network’s security. When Warren allegedly told GMA’s security director, he planned on punching the 53-year-old cancer survivor in the face when he laid eyes on her, the man was arrested four days later.

Roberts, who joined GMA in 2005 has had a few rough patches over recent years with regards to her health.   Back in 2008, she underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments for breast cancer. Two years ago, Roberts was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a disease of the bone marrow. The spirited news castor took a leave from GMA in October 2012 in order to receive a bone marrow transplant. She was welcomed back to her daily morning stint in February of last year with open arms and tons of fanfare from not only her GMA family but from fans across the nation.

Meanwhile according to the New York Post, Warren’s attorney refused to comment on his client.
