Indianapolis- The Too Much Dance group located in Indianapolis has been invited to come to Los Angeles, California and compete in a dance competition during the Black Entertainment TV (BET) awards on June 27. 28. and 29.
The group has been invited by BET to compete during the BET Experience. The local group needs help from the community to raise money for their airfare, hotel accommodations and attire. Throughout the summer the group will be holding fundraisers around the city but is asking for local donations from the community.
“We are excited to have this opportunity because we are letting our city know that there are still some positive kids in our city, and hope that the community can help us accomplish our goal of raising $10,000, said Shelita Dawson, CEO of “Too Much Dance” group. “The group is looking forward to attending this competition in June.”
The group has competed and won local dance competitions, won Regional Midwest dance competitions and have completed and won on BET’s 106 and Park all-stars dance competition. They have also performed during Indiana Black Expo Summer Celebration and Circle City Classic Parade.
