Erin Andrews will replace Brooke Burke-Charvet as the co-host of Dancing With The Stars.
And poor Brooke was FIRED less than ONE MONTH before the new season’s premiere…which is kinnnnnda sh*tty if you ask me.
The FOX Sports reporter, 35, will take over as Tom Bergeron’s co-host for season 18 of ABC’s dancing competition. Andrews is no stranger to the series, having competed on season 10 of DWTS with pro Maksim Chmerkovsky. And along with co-hosting DWTS, she will also continue her broadcasting duties at Fox Sports. So…home-girl is about to be busy.
Burke-Charvet, 42, hosted the show for seven seasons. On Friday, she released a statement to E! Online and said this:
“I have enjoyed seven seasons co-hosting DWTS but understand the need for change considering the position of the show at this juncture,” Burke-Charvet said. “I’ve always been one to embrace change and [I’m] looking forward to pursuing opportunities I previously wasn’t able to entertain because of contractual obligations to the show. I’ve seen my fair share of shocking eliminations in the ballroom, but this one takes the cake.”
Uh oh… sounds like DRAMA.
The show’s executive producer also released a statement saying this:
“[She] has been a wonderful part of the Dancing With The Stars family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire audience. We’d like to thank Brooke for her years of great service.”
Well…..at least we will still get to watch her on infomercials….
