Katherine Jackson (pictured) will testify before a jury about Michael Jackson in the family’s wrongful death lawsuit against concert promoter AEG Friday, according to the N.Y. Daily News.

“Katherine’s going to talk about Michael growing up as a child, his life, his family, his career, his relationship with his children, and how his death has affected her and her children and Michael’s children,” lawyer Brian Panish said.

“It will be off the charts, in terms of emotions.”

Panish says he’s confident the family matriarch will be able to handle tough questions about her son.

“You think she’s a tough woman? No question.”

While she has been present for most of the trial, Jackson wasn’t available Thursday as she was getting her hearing aids checked in preparation for her testimony.

“She listens really hard, and that tires her,” Panish told the judge Thursday. ”She gets tired in the afternoon.” He also proposed a series of hourly breaks Friday for this reason.

Jackson is suing AEG, charging the concert giant failed to properly supervise Conrad Murray, the doctor currently serving a 4-year sentence on involuntary manslaughter charges. Murray gave Michael a fatal dose of propofol, a sleeping anesthetic.

AEG denies the charges, countering that Michael demanded Murray as his doctor and begged him for the drug.

The trial, which began in April and is likely to extend in to the fall months,  will include defense witnesses for AEG starting next week.
