While making an appearance in Grimbsy, England on Mar. 5, the Duchess of Cambridge may have hinted at the fact that she’ll be having a little GIRL!

While we’ve only been able to speculate over the sex of Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s baby, a slip of the tongue by the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge during a visit at the National Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby, England on Mar. 5 certainly has us leaning toward one gender over the other because it seems she might have slipped up and revealed she’s gonna be buying a lot of PINK!

During the visit, Kate, 31, was given a white teddy bear by a local, Diane Burton, Us Weekly reports. “Thank you, I’ll take that for my d–” Kate replied, conspicuously cutting herself off. When someone in the crowd asked if she was about to say “daughter,” she reportedly smiled and replied, “We’re not telling.”

Another witness, Sandra Cook, 67, overheard the moment and told reporters, “I said to her: ‘You were going to say daughter weren’t you?’ and she said, ‘No, we don’t know.’” Sandra continued, “I said, ‘Oh, I think you do’, to which she said: ‘We’re not telling.’” All the while, Kate allegedly clutched the stuffed animal gift happily.

The publication confirms, via a source, that Kate and Prince William recently learned the sex of the royal baby, “but they’ve only told their parents.”

On Dec. 31, Queen Elizabeth II issued a formal decree that, if Kate and Prince William had a baby girl, she would be given the title of princess. Prior to this, their daughter would have been called “lady”.

“The Queen has been pleased by Letters Patentunder the Great Seal of the Realm dated 31 December 2012 to declare that all the children of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales should have and enjoy the style, title and attribute of royal highness with the titular dignity of Prince or Princess prefixed to their Christian names or with such other titles of honour.”

The Duchess Of Cambridge Admits The Royal Baby Is Kicking

At the event, Kate also spoke with admirer Bobbie Brown, 42, revealing that the royal baby has gotten quite active!

“I asked her if [the baby] has been moving or kicking,” Bobbie said, according to Us Weekly. “She said: ‘Yes, it is. Very much so.’”

Paula Rampling, who also came out to see the Duchess, gave Kate two unisex baby outfits, and said Kate told her, “that’s so cute.”
