The much-anticipated follow-up to Bruno Mars’ 2010 debut hit album “Doo-Wops & Hooligans,” was released today. The new album “Unorthodox Jukebox” includes the single “Locked Out Of Heaven,” which is currently at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 after nine weeks on the chart. Mars enlisted the help of A-list producers like Diplo, Mark Ronson and Paul Epworth – the man behind Adele’s “21” – to put together the album. The 27-year-old recently told “Rolling Stone” that “it was either going to be a disaster” or “something incredible.” Last month, Mars released another song off “Unorthodox Jukebox” called “Moonshine,” which he has said was the result of a memorable night out with his producers. Other songs like “Young Girls” and “Gorilla” have also been leaked.
Bruno has been leading up to the release with a number of high-profile appearances. In October, just after dropping “Locked Out Of Heaven,” Mars did double-duty as host and musical performer on “Saturday Night Live.” Earlier this month, he took the stage the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with Justin Bieber and Rihanna. Today, Mars will be performing on an “MTV First” special airing at 7:55 p.m. Eastern.
