A new poll shows iPads, iPods and iPhones top many kids’ holiday wish lists. The Nielsen study reveals Apple devices continue to dominate the list of most-wanted gifts among American children ages six-through-12. Pollsters say it continues a trend seen over the last few years. About half of the children surveyed wanted a full-sized iPad. Just over a third expressed an interest in the new iPad mini. Young consumers also favored the iPod Touch and iPhone for gifts this holiday season.
According to Nielsen, kids are also likely to ask for gaming systems this holiday. Nearly 40 percent want Nintendo’s latest game console, Wii U. Just under a third indicated they want a Nintendo DS. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3 proved appealing to about one-fourth of the children with high definition gaming consoles on their wish lists.
