I’m writing this letter to inform you that as of today–Friday, July 30, 2010–I will be leaving Radio Now. I began this incredible ride on January 26, 2008, and my world has since completely changed for the better.

It’s hard for me to believe that I’ve been here longer than Scotty Davis, and basically everybody except Rayne, but it’s true! I was provided a tremendous opportunity, and I definitely ran with it! I’ve been fortunate to meet and mingle with so many amazing people, from Jason DeRulo to Ke$ha to Nelly, and many more. But more importantly, I’ve made lifelong friends and found out a lot about who I am.

Whether it was at the Brickyard, or the Lady Gaga show, or Santa Slam, I have gotten to know many of you personally over the years, and I thank you very much for allowing me to entertain you for the past two-and-a-half years. It is the nature of our business for DJs to come and go, but the one constant is you. You, the listeners, are the reason all of us do what we do, and the reason why Radio Now 100.9 is so successful. Thank you for your support!

I’ll be taking my talents to Roanoke, Virginia, to become the new host of the night show at WJJS-FM beginning Monday, August 9th. If you’d like to keep up with what I’m doing, my Facebook and Twitter feeds will stay the same, and I’ll be visiting Indy as much as I can. This is not the end for me…only a new chapter! This experience would not have been possible without each of you, so again, thank you. As I depart the 317 for the 540, I say farewell one last time…the only way I know how…

M.I.A. sure does know how to dish it out! The controversial rapper, who earlier this year raised eyebrows by dismissing Lady Gaga as a Madonna rip-off, has once again taken a public swipe at Gaga—and this time she’s thrown in a jab at beloved talk-show host/one-woman empire Oprah Winfrey for good measure.

“Oprah seemed like she was giving me the cold shoulder. She was with Iman (Bowie). Iman was always dancing with me, hugging and kissing me, but Oprah seemed really p*ssed off with me. Also she made this huge speech at the ball praising Lady Gaga and about how she (Lady Gaga) is helping Americans to be the best of themselves. There’s millions of other Americans who represent that for me. Is (it) about numbers? About how much you’re selling? Is it truly about the journey? Because (Lady Gaga’s) journey isn’t that difficult: to go from the f*cking Upper East Side to a f*cking performing arts school and on to a stage at the museum of f*cking wherever. That journey’s about four miles.”

However, M.I.A. fans were upset at a recent performance when it appeared that she simply gave up during her set. Multiple audio problems made her sound horrible, and M.I.A. went so far as to spit into the lens of a photographer on while on stage!

Ke$ha had some very…interesting…things to confess in this month’s Paper magazine:

On transvestites:
Freaks are what make everything mildly more interesting in life but with trannies, they make me want to be a better woman. I see these men who have way better bodies than I do, more beautiful faces, better complexions, beautiful makeup, and they’re more fun than any person I’ve met in my life. They make me feel like I’m not a very good woman.

On being a ‘pervert:’
I wouldn’t say I’m aggressive, but I’m a pervert. I have a gold Trans Am and my favorite thing to do in the world is to drive around blasting Zeppelin or Sabbath, cat calling dudes. It doesn’t work, but it’s fun.

On whether Jack Daniels is really her drink of choice:
I like whiskey and I like red wine — those are my two favorites. I love to lie around my house listening to vinyl records and drinking red wine. It’s amazing. But I’m never home, so…

If you’ll recall, Taylor took the mic to give a proper acceptance speech for her award for Best Female Video. But before she could say thanks, Kanye bolted on stage, interrupted Taylor, and said that Beyonce (whom Taylor beat for the award) had one of the best videos of all time. Later on in the awards show, Beyonce took the stage to accept an award and called Taylor out to the stage. Beyonce showed class, where Kanye had none.

Now, Eminem has taken a beef with Kanye, saying, “He shouldn’t have done that, man. I mean, she’s (Swift) a little girl.”

I’m not sure about the mellower Eminem, but as long as the music stays on point, I can’t complain too much. Source

“Being an actress isn’t as fun as it may seem. If I don’t love something anymore, I stop doing it. I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it. I know 24 is a young age to retire … I’ve never written the movies and tv shows I’ve been a part of. I’ve only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play.”

That’s what Amanda Bynes tweeted back in June.

Last December, she’d told Cosmopolitan magazine, “I’m at that stage where I’m still young and maybe naive, but I’m figuring it out.”

Well now it appears that the former All That star has figured it out, after all.

Amanda was very brief on her Twitter page on Sunday: “I’ve unretired.”

And she UN-retired just in time to promote her new movie, Easy A. So, if you’re interested, it opens in theatres September 17th.
