Her elimination comes as a complete and total shock to Idol fans everywhere, as many predicted the talented singer would make it all the way to the May 25 finale.

The judges and Pia’s fellow contestants were dumbstruck, but what you saw on television doesn’t compare to what was seem from the seat behind the judges table after the cameras stopped rolling…

Being one of the strongest singers in the competition, no one understood why Pia was in the bottom three to begin with. After taking a seat next to Stefano Langone, Pia’s carefree and confident demeanor faded and she began listening to Stefano as he gave her a pep talk.

Following Iggy Pop’s awkward performance and another commercial break, Jacob Lusk, Pia and Stefano took center stage. With 10 seconds to spare before going back on the air, Pia crossed her heart and said a little prayer. Unfortunately, her prayer wasn’t enough to save her as Ryan Seacrest announced her time in the Idol spotlight was over.

As her montage of Idol memories played, Pia was unable to hold back the tears. Ryan gave her a hug as she pulled herself together and prepared to sing her swan song, “I’ll Stand By You.”

When the show ended, no one in the studio audience moved. In past eliminations, it’s been an easy transition off the stage, but this elimination was as shocking as the premature exits of past Idol contestants Tamyra Gray, Chris Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson.

.The finalists surrounded Pia as she buried her head in Jacob’s chest and was approached by judges Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. Haley Reinhardt wiped away tears and prompted the audience to cheer for Pia. Stefano, who has managed to stay in the competition after consistently landing in the bottom three week after week, looked downright destroyed and guilty that he secured a spot on the couch over Pia. While Paul McDonald and James Durbin consoled him, it made us wonder when Stefano’s luck is going to run out.

The audience, stunned and upset over her elimination, began chanting Pia’s name and yelling out supportive words like: “You rock, Pia!” and “I’ll buy your record!”

Even Randy needed extra hugs from the contestants. The audience watched as the judges spent an unusually long time consoling Pia, and none of the other Idol hopefuls moved from her side. Finally, the audience was prompted to give Pia another monstrous round of applause before the show’s stars began to retreat backstage. Pia was so beside herself over the elimination, she was basically carried offstage by two people from production, whom she was leaning heavily on for support.

With Haley and Lauren Alaina being the only girls left in the competition, we’re wondering if it’s only a matter of time before they are following in Pia’s footsteps.

“I just got back to basics,” Sheen tells us. “Gotta go with what got you to the dance and give the people what they want. On the bus someone said, ‘You know, we could just keep driving to L.A.’ I said, ‘F-ck that. That’s what losers do. I won.’ ”

So what did the Chicago crowd experience that the Detroit crowd didn’t?

Charlie, sitting in a chair, just talking. Which was the idea he apparently came up with in the wee hours of the morning between Detroit and Chicago. Sheen sat onstage with only a pack of cigarettes and his friend/tour coproducer Joey Scoleri interviewing him.

The show, which began 20 minutes late, started with Sheen receiving a standing ovation from the crowd along with chants of “Detroit sucks!” He then stood before the sold-out audience and read them a letter:

“Dear f–king awesome Chicago,” he began, the paper shaking in his right hand. “I’m a veteran of a disturbing odyssey that at times had me questioning the very nature of my soul.” Sheen, alluding to the disaster in Detroit, proclaimed he was back and stronger than ever.

Scoleri told the crowd he was going to ask Charlie “all the sh-t you guys wanna know.” Instead of videos, rappers and opening acts, Sheen’s show was as raw as it gets, much to the delight of the ticket-buyers. Among topics covered during the sit-down:

Marriage: “Marriage for me sucked,” Sheen said. “I’m 0-for-3.” He then called Denise Richards “the kidnapper” and spoke very bluntly about the night in March the cops raided his house, saying, “Nice try, bitch. I got those kids back didn’t I? She sent 9,000 cops to my house looking for drugs and guns. They found one gun from 1848.”

His Aspen domestic violence arrest: “I don’t know if we can get into that,” he said, keeping mum. “There’s legal sh-t happening with that. Aspen f–king sucks.”

On CBS: “I didn’t walk away from sh-t. I got fired. That’s not f–king cool. They didn’t give a f–k that I was hammered for eight years. But as soon as I spoke back and said, ‘F–k you, you’re a creep…’ I’m not knocking Two and a Half Men. I’m talking about the weirdos who run it. If they hired me back I’d do it again.”

On AA: “I just stopped. I don’t believe in all your fiction, all your bullsh-t. I got tired of losing. I said, ‘F–k all this. It’s time for winning.’ ”

How to be a goddess: After ripping off his shirt and bringing the crowd to its feet, a blonde in the front row shouted that she wanted to be one of his goddesses. “You have to be f–king me. Start there. The rest is up to you!” But apparently Sheen is wary of more than two ladies at a time. “I tried a third. I did. You can’t keep an eye on the third one,” he complained. “I have two eyes. I have two goddesses. I’m not bipolar. I’m bi-winning.” Soon after, the goddesses were paraded out for a photo op.

On paying for sex: “So much f–king easier. Plus, I ran out of sh-t to buy.”

The Plaza Debacle: “Here’s what really sucks: I never f–ked her! And that’s the f–king truth. You owe me a watch and some f–king love. That’s what TMZ won’t f–king tell you. Trolls, Music, and Zombies that’s what it f–king stands for.”

Well, the fans certainly got what they paid for: an in-depth and uncensored look inside Charlie’s brain. Afterward, Sheen told fans, “I’m having the best time of my life. Unlike that death sentence that was Detroit.”

The show ended with a standing ovation. After the show, Charlie was congratulated on his comeback. “Comeback? That would mean I was down,” he responded with a smile.

But are the musical lovebirds planning on bringing their chemistry into the recording studio for a duet together?

“I don’t know,” Gomez said hesitantly when we asked her about working professionally with Bieber at the Kids’ Choice Awards in L.A. “You know, with my friends, I always make sure that I try to keep like family and business separate because it doesn’t really go well sometimes… I don’t know about that. We’ll see.”

So she’s at least open to the idea?

“Yes!” she smiled.

As for juggling both singing and acting, the Wizards of Waverly Place star tells us, “Ultimately I’d like to slow everything down and just do acting for when I’m older. But right now I have a passion for music. I’m young and I love traveling and I’m kind of embracing all that.”

And yes, á la Miley Cyrus, Gomez is also a big fan of Rebecca Black’s “Friday.”

“I love it!” she laughed. “Total guilty pleasure!”

Scotty’s husband and Butler mascot Blue II had to delay their honeymoon to be in Houston this weekend for the Final Four. He got his own bus seat, and was on a chartered flight, and now that he’s in Houston, he’s living luxuriously. We’ve got all the pics from his trip, all weekend long.

Because lawyers saythat dragging MTV into the Great Jenelle Evans-Britany Truett Scrum of Twenty Ought Eleven would be difficult, if not downright undoable. Yes, there certainly is quite a bit of convenient camera coverage of the incident. And Evans’ attorney has told E! News that he is investigating whether the teen mom was antagonized into initiating the melee.

But unless specific, incriminating details emerge, MTV is likely off the hook.

Let’s start with hypothetical criminal charges. Of course, local authorities would have to charge a person at MTV, not just the general network. (This just in from the MTV Moon Man: He is totally innocent.) And to bring criminal charges, investigators would need to see evidence of some sort of conspiracy.

“Probably not going to happen,” Los Angeles defense attorney Lou Shapiro tells me. “They would have to prove that MTV was aware that this would happen and failed to stop it.”

As for civil court action—otherwise known as a lawsuit—that could happen, if the assault victim felt like filing such a thing. People can and do sue for anything, and I wouldn’t put anything past a Teen Mom. But don’t hold your breath, lawyers say.

“There are lots of of clever lawyers and lots of ways that matters can be brought,” says Ellyn Garofalo, famous for her successful work as a defense lawyer for Dr. Sandeep Kapoor in the recent Anna Nicole Smith drug case. “If, say, MTV were negligent, if they created a hostile environment, if they encouraged it that kind of thing there could be civil liability.”

But if a Teen Mom were to bring a suit, she would burn her bridge with MTV—aka her meal ticket. Like I said, don’t hold your breath.

The costars-turned-lovers are back on, and the hunky Hemsworth and Cyrus are even planning an overseas trip to his homeland of Australia!

Could this possibly be true?

That’s what we’re told—so here’s to hoping for some Hemsworth beach photos!

A Liam source tells us that Hemsworth will be accompanying his renewed ladylove to Australia, where she will be stopping on her Gypsy Heart tour June 21.

Already making future travel plans, eh?

Jeez. Certainly appears these two are back on.

“They’ve been hanging out a lot,” says a Liam pal. “They’ve been trying to do it away from the cameras.”

And up until Miley hinted at a reconciliation on Australian radio station Sydney’s 2Day Thursday, telling them, “I love Australian boys obviously,” we too, had no idea this was coming.

But will the reconciliation last? A Liam insider says that the two are “taking it slow and just enjoying each other’s company.”

Perhaps Miley needed a rebound after news broke that her fling (and So Undercover costar) Josh Bowman is now dating Doug Reinhardt’s ex, actress Cassie Scerbo?

Regardless, way to go, Miley! We totally think Hemsworth is an upgrade from Bowman, even if he is recycled goods!
