Lindsay Lohan’s year started off with a scare. A man named Lonnie Short began knocking on her door on January 1 at 6:30 pm insisting that he wanted to talk with her. Lindsay refused to topen the door. The police came and arested the man and are curently holding the man on $1,000 bail. There has been no comment from Lindsay.  Lindsay is now going everywhere with a team of bodyguards.

It doesn’t look like that’s going to happen.

E! News is reporting that Lohan missed today’s taping that was scheduled to air Dec. 15.

Although she’s been vacationing in Hawaii, it has been a rough few days for Lohan. First she lost her $5,000 Chanel purse that contained her passport, court documents and $10,000 in cash — and now she’s missed her flight back to Los Angeles.

Missing the ‘Ellen’ taping isn’t even Lohan’s biggest problem, as the 25-year-old is due in court first thing tomorrow morning for a progress hearing.

Lohan’s rep Steve Honig told E! News, “Lindsay had a travel-related issue arise that took a few hours to sort out. It has been resolved and she will be back in Los Angeles in time for her court appearance.”

Lohan is cutting it pretty close there and it would be a shame if she missed her court date. Sources say the judge presiding over her case is going to receive a “glowing” report about the star’s progress.

The down-and-out child star, prison-bound for the millionth time for a probation violation, has been big news on the blogs ever since she accepted $700,000 to strip down to her birthday suit for Playboy. But according to E! News, the founder of the mag, notorious ladies’ man, Hugh Hefner, wasn’t happy with the first set of pics.

And, if Star Magazine snoopsters are to be believed, neither was the crew on set.

Tabloid tattles say LiLo was behaving even more bizarrely than usual when she arrived at a luxurious estate in the Hollywood Hills for her full-frontal shoot last month. According to at least one eyewitness, the Mean Girls star, who has a storied history with illegal substances, appeared to be “under the influence of something” on set.

“On the first day of shooting, Lindsay showed up disheveled and seemed super out of it. She’d laugh at random things and say things that didn’t really make sense. She would ramble. She was dragging and slow..She didn’t take or even understand direction well…She acted like she was doing everyone a favor by being there.”

Another loose-lipped informant at the shoot recalls that on-call makeup artists acted more like magicians, forced to “use a lot of thick makeup because Lindsay’s skin looked like shit.”

No need to fret though, there’ll be no delay in seeing Lindsay get all soft-porn in Playboy’s glossy sheets: Hugh ordered a reshoot that went down on Thursday and Friday and Lindsay’s pics are still on schedule to run in the mag’s Janurary issue.

Lindsay Lohan reportedly has a shocking new strategy for her court hearing this Wednesday (November 2nd): taking responsibility for her actions. TMZ.com reported that when she goes before Judge Stephanie Sautner, Lindsay will admit that she violated her probation by getting kicked out of her community service program. However, Lindsay hopes to catch a lucky break by proving that she is now very serious about complying with her probation.Lindsay’s attorney Shawn Holley will reportedly provide proof that Lindsay has put in at least 24 hours of work at the morgue since her last hearing — well over the 16 hours she was required to perform. Lohan is facing a potential penalty of more than a year in jail, but she’s reportedly hoping she’ll get the minimum sentence — two weeks — which will be drastically reduced because of overcrowding.
