There is already Oscar buzz surrounding the new project that Justin has just signed on to. According to Deadline, Justin has landed the starring role in Trouble With The Curve alongside Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams. Clint will play a veteran scout and Timberlake will be a rival scout who like Clint’s daughter, played by Amy. The film will reportedly be released in September. This will be Clint Eastwood’s first onscreen role since Gran Torino.

Justin Timberlake’s granny Sadie Bomar confirmed to Gossip Cop that he and on-again, off-again girlfriend of over four years Jessica Biel have taken the leap and gotten engaged.

“He called me on Christmas Day and told me he’s engaged,” Bomar tells the website, explaining that J.T. asked her not to discuss the news with anyone “until after the holidays,” and also shared that, “the family loves Jessie. She’s a very sweet girl.”

According to People, the joyous moment (which supposedly included a “custom-designed” ring) happened while they were on their annual vacay in Montana.

This isn’t the first time Granny Sadie became the media’s trusted source. Back in October 2009, when breakup rumors about the couple were all over the Internet, she explained what was really going on.

“Jessica was keen to marry, but Justin isn’t ready,” she told The Daily Mail, “He’s busy writing new material and he works hard to be successful, he’s really focused on that. Justin does his own thing and he isn’t ready to marry just yet.”

Then they got back together, broke up again in March of last year and finally, the lovebirds’ makeup (for the final time) happened around September, and now look…wedding bells.

Timberlake’s Friend Tells Reporters About Justin’s Hair Loss

Hearts of men — and women alike are breaking today. It is rumored that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel are engaged. Though neither Jessica or Justin have confirmed this, according to sources in Jackson, Wyoming — Justin proposed to Jessica on their holiday vacation at the Amangani, a luxury resort. A New York City publicist is also confirming the news. Kyle Schaffler, tweeted the news to several media outlets yesterday (December 20). Schaffler said, “Hehe, I love that NO media outlets know about the Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel engagement. Benefits of working in PR.” Meanwhile, Gossip Cop, reports that the engagement is just a rumor. A source said, “I don’t believe this to be true at all – the facts of where they are don’t even add up. It’s a total rumor. We have nothing to substantiate it.” A rep for Biel declined to comment.

The magazine today revealed just a taster of its complete list, the full rundown of which will presumably be laid out in full in the next issue, and while there are the usual suspects, the group isn’t without its surprises.

You don’t exactly have to be Rachel Zoe to know that the Duchess of Cambridge was a lock for the list (and, it follows, pretty much every list of a similar nature from now until eternity). As for the newer members of the sartorial set, Carey Mulligan’s unique brand of British quirkiness set her apart from her peers enough to earn her a slot on the list. Ditto the stylings of the always, um, intriguing Tilda Swinton. France’s first lady, chanteuse Carla Bruni, made the cut for the fourth time, while swagtastic singer Janelle Monaé is surely happy with her inaugural hat tip.

As for the fellas, it should come as no surprise that the always slick but far from envelope-pushing stylings of Justin Timberlake earned him placement on the list. And Oscar winner Colin Firth no doubt just discovered another benefit of being besties with Tom Ford, as his impeccable string of tux-donning earlier this year helped earn him his sartorial props.

Joining him on the male side were fellow turned-out thesp Armie Hammer, Paris Hilton and Mary-Kate Olsen ex, shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, British Formula 1 racer (and Prince Harry pal-arounder) Jenson Button and NBC’s nightly newsman Brian Williams.

As for the Best-Dressed Couples list, Vanity Fair revealed just one pair and—surprise!—it’s not Will and Kate (though that’s not to say they won’t be included when the full rundown is released). Nope, it’s our own fashionable commander-in-chief (we’re guessing, with a big assist from his wife), Barack and Michelle Obama.
