Survey Says!? Women Want “This” At The Big Game Party?

This year’s Super Bowl could have a fairly large female audience. Just under 70-percent of the women taking part in a Nielsen Company survey say they plan to tune in to the big game this Sunday. But the majority of participants in a new Skinny Cow Candy poll admit they aren’t thrilled with the typical Super Bowl party menu. Nearly two-thirds would describe the offerings as “lacking,” with a deficiency in chocolate. Just over 40-percent say they typically try to avoid the chips and dip, wings, and other higher calorie foods typically served at events surround the game. Just over a third add that they’d like to see parties feature lighter alternatives on the menu, while 13-percent also wish they could enjoy some lower calorie chocolate treats while they watch the Super Bowl.

Kelly Clarkson is set to perform the National Anthem before Sunday’s Super Bowl in Indianapolis, marking the second time an “American Idol” champ has helped kick off a big game between the Giants and the Patriots. Season six winner Jordin Sparks took on “The Star Spangled Banner” back in 2008, before New York went on to beat New England in Super Bowl 42. Clarkson is likely hoping her rendition will follow in the footsteps of Sparks’ performance rather than last year’s anthem singer, Christina Aguilera, who infamously flubbed a line in the song.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are also scheduled to perform “America the Beautiful” before Super Bowl 46, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. Eastern. NBC is set to cover the event and all the pre-game festivities starting at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.

23 Indianapolis food trucks will make history when the first Food Truck Fair to be held during a Super Bowl celebration takes place on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis, Jan. 27-29 and Feb. 2-5, 2012, 11 AM to 10 PM each day.

The trucks will be located on the northwest quadrant of Monument Circle, and on the north side of the West Market Street spoke adjacent to Monument Circle. This section of Monument Circle will remain open to traffic throughout the event.

The trucks are divided into two five-hour rotations each of the seven days of this event. Each will serve either the 11 AM to 4 PM shift or the 5-10 PM shift. It changes each day so that they alternate the day and evening shifts, but all 23 vendors are scheduled each day.

Simon Cowell, in fact he wants her so bad, he has allegedly offered her $500 million to do it. According to Mediatakeout.com, an insider said that Simon desperately wants to revive the show and thinks that adding the superstar would do it. The insider said, “He wants a big name female star on the panel. Mariah [Carey] is good, but she’s not that hot today. He wants Beyonce because that would immediately give him the bounce needed to beat American Idol.”The source said that Simon offered Bey $500 million or $100 million per year for five seasons. A source in Beyonce’s camp would not reveal whether or not if Beyonce is interested, but told the site to expect for the superstar to announce a major career move in the next month. According to E! News, this story is false. The site said that Simon may be trying to get Beyonce as a judge, but it is not likely that he would be willing to pay $500 million to get the superstar. Simon Cowell is interested in having Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj judge The X Factor.
