Diddy has announced that he is launching a new music-themed cable network called REVOLT. On Tuesday (February 21st), Diddy issued a video announcement, saying, “I first like to say thank you to Comcast, Comcast Diversity Council, and NBC for recognizing the importance of minority ownership of cable television. I grew up watching BET, MTV, HBO, and NBC and I had a dream that one day I would get a chance, an opportunity to show my perspective coming from a musical standpoint.” The network selected by Comcast is set to be the “first music network to truly leverage the power of social media.” In other news, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Tyler Perry also announced that they are starting their own networks. Magic Johnson — in partnership with GMC TV is launching his own network called Aspire. Tyler Perry also confirmed that he is launching a network — and contemplating calling it TylerVision or Tyler TV.

She tells UGO News, “I love that feeling when I know someone is wearing my perfume. We worked on it for such a long time and I really love it. I wear it every day. So when I walk past someone who’s wearing it too, or I go to a party and smell it, it’s like, ‘Ah! Someone is wearing Wonderstruck,’ and I feel really proud.”

Taylor Swift loves reading about everyone she is supposedly dating. She says, “I do find it funny hearing about all these people I’m supposed to be dating. Most of these guys I haven’t even met! Right now I am happy being single and I just leave it to chance whether I meet someone some day.”

Zac Efron says Taylor Swift is a great music teacher. “She’s a great teacher. In the past, everyone who has tried to teach me guitar starts with music theory and stuff like that. I tend to just doze off after a little while. She went straight into songs. She taught me, like, four chords, and I’m already playing all the good campfire songs.”

Taylor Swift tells Ellen that she and her single friends held a party on Valentine’s Day. “I actually had a pathetic single girls party. It was cool. That’s actually what it was called. I’m not saying that being single is pathetic. We’ve talked about this. I think it’s awesome. We just ate whatever we wanted and danced. We made these little profile cards about why we’re single.”

Other 2012 BRIT winners include Bruno Mars for International Male Solo Artist, and Rihanna, who won International Female Solo Artist for the second year in a row.  The ceremony at London’s O2 Arena also included video tributes to Whitney Houston, who died on February 11th, and Amy Winehouse, who died last summer.  Coldplay also took the stage to perform, as did Rihanna, Florence and the Machine, Blur and others.

Judge Sautner placed Lohan on a strict court-mandated probation after she fell out of compliance with the original terms of her probation last year.  The actress has since received glowing reviews for sticking to the judge’s script which included community service at a local morgue and therapy sessions.  Accompanied by her mother Dina, Lohan arrived at the court house about 20 minutes before her hearing began wearing a green dress, a trench coat and sunglasses.  She left approximately ten minutes after the hearing in a black SUV.

The 14-year-old singer has scored a talent deal with Nickelodeon that includes a recurring role on comedy series, Fred: The Show, and her own musical comedy series pilot.

In addition, Rachel has been signed by Columbia Records in partnership with her X Factor coach Simon Cowell‘s company, Syco.

“It’s such an honor to be signed to Columbia Records,” Rachel said in a statement. “To think that I am signed to the same label as my idols is a dream come true. I can’t wait to get in the studio and start making music.”

“And I am so excited to now be a part of the Nickelodeon family. I grew up watching Nick, and I’m a huge fan,” Rachel added.
