New “American Idol” judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey may not be happy with having to share the spotlight. TMZ.com is reporting that the two were interrupting and talking over each other on their first day on the set together on Sunday. A source told the website that Minaj and Carey “just don’t like each other.” Carey, reportedly, has not been thrilled with the idea of having Minaj as a co-judge from the beginning. When she first signed on to do the show in July and discovered that the popular rapper was on the short list, she reportedly hung up the phone on producers upon hearing the news. Sources say Mariah claimed she was led to believe she would be the only woman on the judging panel.
Other sources also suggested that Carey was not pleased that Minaj was significantly younger than her. Fox made the big announcement that Nicki Minaj and country star Keith Urban would be joining the show on Sunday.
