,” Perry is going for a fiery red-orange color – a la Florence Welch of Florence and The Machine fame. Her new statement-making hair comes on the heels of John Mayer’s own dramatic hair change. The singer-songwriter chopped off his long curly locks earlier this week after rumors of the couple’s split. Red also seems like an ironic choice considering Perry’s ex-husband Russell Brand has been spotted spending time with Spice Girls singer Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell of late. Perry’s colorist tells “Billboard” that though she is probably wearing a wig on the cover of the magazine, the pop singer loves to play with color.
