A New York woman is using her own visual aids to help remind residents about the state’s laws. Moira Johnston tells “The Daily Beast” she walks around the Big Apple topless to help make sure everyone knows that it is completely legal for women to bare their chests, just like men. Johnston, a topless dancer originally from Philadelphia, says her unique fight for equal rights began after she was kicked out of a yoga class for taking off her shirt. And she says she’s run into many people who were unaware of the right, including the New York Police department. The cops arrested her back in May, but eventually released her without charge. Johnston says she doesn’t think all women should walk around half naked, but she wants to make sure they know they have that option.
