The man who discovered Drake is taking the Toronto rapper’s management team to court. The “Daily News” reports talent scout James “Jas” Prince Jr. is suing Aspire Music Group for breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty. Prince says he’s the one who introduced Drake to Lil Wayne and his Young Money crew, but he claims he hasn’t been paid what he deserves. Prince says he and Drake’s manager Cortez Bryant verbally agreed that Prince would get a portion of the profits from Drake’s Young Money deal. Now, Prince’s lawyer says his client hasn’t been paid in over a year. The court documents also claim Drake isn’t very happy with Aspire Music Group, and is, quote, “on the brink” of suing the company himself.
