The question of whether to “Eat Mor Chikin” or not “Eat Mor Chikin” has never been more controversial as Chick-fil-A remains at the center of growing debate over intolerance. It all started when the company’s president came out recently against gay marriage. That led to protests, mostly on social media, against Chick-fil-A and the Jim Henson Company even backed out of a deal that would have placed Muppets toys in the restaurant’s kid’s meals.
Now, there’s a nationwide initiative planned for this Wednesday in support of Chick-fil-A. It’s supported by the likes of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and the Reverend Billy Graham. The Illinois Republican Party has even waded into the debate, offering Chick-fil-A gift cards to anyone who makes a donation. Over the weekend, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin made a point of calling attention to a recent visit to the fast-food restaurant, tweeting a picture of her and her husband proudly carrying two Chick-fil-A bags.
