Flo Rida’s failed concert “down under” is going to cost the emcee several thousand dollars. According to TMZ.com, a judge in Australia has ordered Flo Rida to pay 80-thousand dollars to the promoter behind the Fat As Butter music festival. The promoter filed a lawsuit claiming that he paid 50-thousand dollars up front to secure Flo Rida for last October’s festival. However, the rap star allegedly threw what’s being described as a “hissy fit” prior to the show, and refused to take the stage. Flo Rida tried to explain the situation on Twitter, telling fans that “unforeseen circumstances” kept him from performing. The judge is now ruling in the promoter’s favor, and ordering Flo Rida to pay 80-thousand dollars for performance fees and damages.
Flo Rida is currently working on his fourth studio album. “Only One Rida (Part 2)” is expected in stores sometime this summer.
