Madonna is HERE.
“It’s official, we are here,” the pop legend wrote on her Facebook page Wednesday afternoon. She also added a photo from the field at Lucas Oil Stadium to her Facebook to prove it. She will rehearse this morning before holding a press conference in the afternoon with the media at the JW Marriott.
It has been leaked this week that the first song will be her new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin,” alongside Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. when she headlines this year’s halftime show.
The song will kick off a 12-minute show-stopping serenade that will include four of her biggest hits. The 53-year-old star, who has performed at the world’s top venues, said she’s anxious about taking center stage here in Indy.
“Oh, my God, I’m so nervous, you have no idea,” she told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
“First of all, it’s the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is kind of like the holiest of holy in America. I’m going to come in halfway between the church experience, and I’m going to have to deliver a sermon that’s going to have to be very impactful.”
Madonna’s set will also include her hits “Ray of Light,” “Vogue,” “Music” and “Holiday.”
“It’s the most nerve-racking thing I’ve ever done,” the singer told Jay Leno on Tuesday (scroll to 1:33 in the above video). “I have to go on in the middle of that Holy of Holies and put on the greatest show that was ever put on before.”
She should just call Tim Tebow, since he’s obviously really good at both putting on the greatest performances and being the Holy of Holies. But keep your hands off him, you cougarlady. I called dibs already.
