GOSSIP: Fast Five Kills at the Box Office

Be prepared for many more Fast & Furious movies!

The fifth movie in the series opened up this weekend with a whopping $83.6 million.

Wowsa!

It was the biggest April opening ever and is definitely the biggest movie of the year so far.

And it’s gonna keep making more money. The movie is expected to gross $165 million worldwide for the first ten days of its international release.

The animated film Rio came in second with $14.4 million, which is down 45% in its third week.

Coming in third was Tyler Perry‘s Madea’s Big Happy Family with $10.1 million in its second weekend.

Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon‘s Water for Elephants made $9.1 million and came in fourth place.

Rounding out the top five was Disney‘s Prom with a pretty weak opening of $5 million.
