Ashton Kutcher is threatening to sue the pants off of a porno company.
The actor is upset because Vivid Entertainment sent out a press release – about an upcoming sex flick featuring Brittney Jones – which prominently uses his name to promote the XXX movie.
Jones, you’ll recall, claimed she had a sexual liaison with Kutcher, though there’s never been any substantial proof of it.
In a letter sent to Vivid by Kutcher’s attorney – and obtained by TMZ – the star is mostly peeved about a line that reads, “Ashton’s fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced.”
Kutcher’s lawyer notes that there’s tremendous value to the star’s name and likeness, and that Vivid is “attempting to misappropriate and convert the potential economic value in Mr. Kutcher’s identity to [its] own advantage.”
The missive also states that the porn company’s “conduct has already caused, and will continue to cause, substantial damages to our client,” and that Kutcher will seek financial remedies.
