It has been rumored for a while that Odd Future had grown apart, and some speculated the collective had broken up. Now it appears that confirmation may have come from the collective’s own Tyler, the Creator. In a series of tweets sent on Wednesday, the collective’s leader cryptically hinted that the group was no longer a thing:

During his barrage of tweets, the leader of the collective was rather mournful rather than full of the crazy energy the collective is known for. Sharing photos from his Tumblr as well, he reflected on his relationship with several of the members. While he did not reveal any details or a reason for their breakup, fans of the group had seen this coming and did not take it as a big surprise. It was probably the closest to the truth anyone outside of the group would get from the members.

So far none of Tyler’s tweets have been refuted and the other members have not commented yet. Tyler and Earl Sweatshirt both dropped albums this year, and Frank Ocean‘s highly anticipated second album is still set to be released.
