UPDATE 11:15 A.M. EST:

Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake announced via Twitter that the city will be lifting its curfew, effective immediately.

We will continue to keep you updated.

Details continue to emerge in the tragic case of Freddie Gray.

One of the police officers riding in the same van Freddie was in claims that Freddie had a case of “jailitis,” as he cried for medical help. Daily Mail reports:

The officer, who has not been named, seemed to imply that Gray, 25, was faking his injury because he had been arrested, when in fact he had broken his back – a wound which would later kill him.

This comes in just days after the medical examiner ruled Gray’s death a homicide caused by severe trauma.

Amidst the announcement of the officers being charged, peaceful protests continued, Saturday marking the fifth night authorities enforced Baltimore’s new curfew. Not all was peaceful, as police dragged some people they arrested, and pepper sprayed others. Daily Mail reports:

The number of arrests made Saturday after the curfew is unknown, but NBC News reports that at least two men and three women were seen being put into a police van near a burned CVS pharmacy.

In an incident caught on video, one protester stood before officers wearing a t-shirt that read ‘F*** the police’ and refused to move before on policeman used his pepper spray.

The defiant activist collapsed, was handcuffed and received medical treatment from officers.

We pray for the city of Baltimore and will continue to keep you updated as new details surface.
