Rhines reportedly informed healthcare workers at the hospital that both she and her young son had a fever that they could have contracted from an African foreign exchange student who had been staying at her home.

Once Ebola was mentioned, a team of healthcare specialists were alerted immediately to come and examine Rhines and her son.  Upon further examination, a few of the nurses realized that Rhines was extremely intoxicated.  According to police, Rhines was erratic and belligerent during the examination process, faking seizures and actually head-butting hospital staff members who had been trying to assist her.

Police were summoned, and after making inquiries at the Lawton Public School system with regards to Rhines’ mention of an African exchange student, officials discovered the woman had lied.

There were no exchange students from Africa listed in the school district’s system.

After Rhines and her son were examined at the hospital and given clearance, she was then arrested and placed behind bars. She is currently waiting for arraignment.
